Abatement Supervisor Training Course

*RJ & Associates Moderate Risk Abatement Work Training is mandatory prerequisite for enrolment in Abatement Supervisor Training Course.
**RJ & Associates High Risk Abatement Worker Training and AHERA Building Inspector Training are recommended prerequisite for enrolment in Abatement Supervisor Training Course.

The Program
This 1-day course is designed for contractors and supervisors involved in the management of hazardous abatement worksites and workers. A supervisor is responsible for providing direction, and ensuring the abatement work is safely completed, while under pressure to meet all schedule deadlines with limited resources.

This course provides the attendee with the ability to: plan, supervise and oversee a hazardous materials abatement worksite while safeguarding personal and public exposure. The following topics are discussed:

  • Current provincial and federal regulations
  • Role and Responsibilities of a Supervisor
  • Due Diligence
  • Management and Communication with the work crew
  • Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Job Safety Analysis
  • PPE & Respirators and Fit Tests
  • Exposure Limits and Action Levels
  • Worksite Preparation and Enclosure Inspections
  • Air & Swab Sample Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Abatement Contractor Insurance Coverage
